Located on a prominent site in Burwood Town Centre precinct, the development accommodates one, two, and Three bedroom apartments in an 8 – storey building above two and a half levels of basement car park. 2 storey and cross over apartments was a feature of the design to maximize solar and ventilation access.
The State Planning Design Review Committee commended D5D on its intuitive design, stating that this building set a new and positive benchmark for future developments in Burwood.
D5D was responsible for conceptual and feasibility Investigations leading to a dynamic design submission.
Horizontal and vertical banding was utilised to enhance the building appearance and provide a human scale for the facade. The ‘L’ shape of the building provides excellent solar access and good acoustic and visual privacy for the landscaped external recreational areas.
